Urban Hiring is on the lookout for a meticulous and driven Accountant to become a vital part of our finance team in Surat, Gujarat. This full-time role presents an incredible opportunity for candidates with 1-5 years of experience in accounting to make meaningful contributions to our financial operations in a professional and collaborative office setting.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, meticulously verifying invoices and processing payments to support our financial health. Additionally, you will assist in budget preparation and forecasting, conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts, and play a critical role in the auditing process by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and file GST returns, Income Tax, and TDS statements
Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheets and financial statements
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Qualifications

Graduate in Commerce or related field
1-5 years of experience in accounting
Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
Strong understanding of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and Balance Sheet preparation
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
